Birthday + Boone, NCTravel
This past weekend was my birthday and I was surprised with a trip to Boone, North Carolina. It has been on my bucket list for awhile now so to say I was excited when I found out would be an understatement :). When we arrived to our Airbnb we exhaustedly unloaded the luggage and took it inside of the cozy little one bedroom apartment. It was beautiful. Two tall glass windows surrounded the glass front door. This was my favorite feature of the apartment because of all the natural light that shined throughout the room. I’ve been using Airbnb for over a year and a half now, and it’s the only way I travel. It’s life changing. I seriously believe its the door to endless possibilities while traveling. The first place we visited after checking into our Airbnb was Lost Province Brewing Co. Oh. My. Gosh. So damn good! The muscles that I demolished were completely out of this world and the pizza was phenomenal. We went to this place before the launch of my blog (I was super nervous and super excited all at the same time). After we left here I made an announcement about my blog on two of my social media platforms and quickly needed a shot after that to calm my nerves lol.Later that evening we went to a place called Casa Rustica. I wish I would have taken photos. Honestly, one of the best Italian places I’ve been to in my life. I ordered the Seafood & Purses. It’s a six cheese pasta purses topped with fresh sautéed shrimp, scallops, onions, and spinach. All tossed together in a roasted red pepper Alfredo sauce. You can count on me going back to Boone in the near future to take photos of their dishes just to show you how amazing they are. But until then, check out their photos on yelp.
The next day was mainly an easy day so we could rest up for snowboarding. I’ve never been before so I was giddy about it. Busted my ass too many times to count, and had so much fun doing it. Can’t wait to go again!
